Chris Brogan Talks Content

If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought someone slipped a copy of Content Rules to our friend Chris Brogan early based on this video he posted earlier this week.

In the video he is talking about his approach to building new business across his channels and as you watch you’ll notice that a variety of content is at the core of his ecosystem. He discusses his use of his newsletter, webinars and a mix of free and paid content to attract new customers.

Of course, as much as I loved this video, it reminds me of the old Disney animator videos. I kept waiting for him to flip the page back and forth with a dollar sign or something.

Way to go Chris and thanks for confirming what we are trying to tell people.

What a cool way to make an online video, especially good for those who are shy to appear online (or too lazy to put on makeup).

Another approach could be to use a mindmap software and do a screen capture while you’re putting creating the mindmap.

Awesome tips, too, on how to create and use content and leverage it, not just for list-building, but for your product sales funnel as well.

    Thanks for sharing!

Exactly, there is not one single way to make a video and many people shy away because they are scared to be on camera and there is just no need for that.

The mind map idea is a good idea as well. I hope someone comes up with a screen capture software for the iPad since that is where I do all my mind mapping and it could make for some interesting content.

+1 on what Lexi said. Very very cool approach by Brogan. It never ceases to amaze me how his mind works. He’s always trying new things. I was waiting for him to toss in “I use Blue Sky Factory” to send out my emails, but … (wishful thinking?).

Thanks for sharing this, C.C. Really looking forward to reading your book!
